Bull or Bust collects nothing about you. There are no accounts, no sign-in, no analytics, no advertising SDKs, and no tracking of any kind. The app never sends any information to its developer.
Learn mode is entirely on-device. Markets are randomly generated on your iPhone — there are no real prices, no brokerage, and no real money. Your simulated trades, scores, and settings are stored only on your device and never leave it.
Live mode connects to your own free Alpaca paper-trading account, using API keys that you create at Alpaca and enter yourself. When Live mode is in use:
paper-api.alpaca.markets and
data.alpaca.markets) to read market data and to place, list, and cancel
paper orders. The real-money trading host is never contacted.Live mode places paper trades only. No real money is ever at risk, and the developer of Bull or Bust never sees your account, your keys, or your trades.
Other than Alpaca — contacted only in Live mode, and only with credentials you supply — the app sends information to no one. In-app purchases are handled by Apple under Apple's own privacy terms; we never see your payment details.
The app is rated 4+. Because it collects no data, it collects no data from children either.
